NSD-S3 is a hardware Nostr signer built on the LilyGo T-Display S3
(ESP32-S3, 1.9" display, native USB) — your private key lives on the board itself and
never touches a computer. This page is for a completely fresh / wiped
board. After connecting you'll need to tap RESTORE on the device itself before it accepts
anything — then enter your 12-word backup here with search-as-you-type; the device derives
the key and never sends it back over serial.
Works in Chrome or Edge on desktop only (WebSerial). Only use this on a
device that shows no-key below — if the device already has a key, restoring
here is refused; use the on-device REVEAL flow to check backups of an existing key instead.
Your 12 words pass through this browser tab's memory while you type them (same
one-time trust as the on-device serial /restore-words command they call).
Only do this on a computer you trust, and only for words you're deliberately restoring
right now — never leave this page open afterward.
Not connected.
This device already has a key on it (). Restoring is only
possible on a completely fresh device — full-erase it first if you really mean to
overwrite it, then come back and reload this page.
The device won't accept words until you confirm this in person. On its screen, tap the
button next to RESTORE > — you have 5 minutes once you do.
Waiting for the device…
Enter your 12 backup words
Tap a word box to select it, then spell it out on the on-screen keyboard below —
the letters shuffle to a new layout after every tap, so nothing about the word is exposed to
a keylogger or shoulder-surfer watching key positions. Matching suggestions appear as you go;
click one to confirm it and move to the next word. All 12 must be exact, valid BIP-39 words
before Restore unlocks.
Now set a PIN on the device
Words accepted. The device is showing SET PIN on its screen — choose a
6-digit PIN using its own buttons (BOTTOM cycles 0–9, TOP confirms each digit), then enter
the same PIN again to confirm. Your PIN never touches this page.
